How do I choose the side channel blower?

Choose by airflow, pressure and working mode. First confirm whether you need blowing or suction, then check the required airflow in m³/h or CFM and the pressure in Pa, kPa or mbar. Use the manufacturer’s performance curve to find a model whose working point is slightly above your requirement.

What voltage and frequency options are available?

Ring blowers are commonly available in single-phase and three-phase motors, such as 220V, 380V, 415V, and can be designed for 50Hz or 60Hz. If the blower will be exported to different countries, confirm the local voltage, frequency, plug type and whether a frequency inverter is required.

Can it run continuously, and how much maintenance is needed?

The impeller rotates without contact with the pump body, so the blower is oil-free and requires very low maintenance. The main wear parts are the bearings. Under normal conditions, it can run continuously for long periods, but the installation site should be clean, dry and well ventilated.

How can noise and vibration be controlled?

Side channel blowers are generally quieter than Roots blowers, but noise can still increase if the filter is blocked, the installation base is unstable, or the bearings are worn. Adding silencers, shock absorbers, flexible hose connections and clean inlet filters can help reduce noise and vibration.

What certifications and protections should I check before purchasing?

For industrial and export applications, check motor protection class, insulation class and relevant certifications such as CE or UL. If the blower will be used in explosive or corrosive environments, confirm whether an ATEX/IECEx motor, special sealing, stainless-steel material or a pressure relief valve is required.
